Elnaz Mohammadi Asl (b.1997)
I am a graphic designer and animator based in Bremen, Germany.
I have been practicing lettering, experimental typography, character design, 2D frame by frame animation.
I draw inspiration from sociopolitical topics, especially stories from Iran, particularly from the recent „woman-life-freedom“ movement. This movement has significantly influenced my art and changed my perspective on art. As a woman and artist who was raised and lived in Iran, I always think about this idea that every time I will be seen and surveillance by the government in different shapes. After the movement I experienced a real art block because I found it challenging to consider other topics in art as meaningful.
I graduated in Visual Communication from Tehran University of Arts and is currently studying Digital Media at Hochschule für Künste Bremen.
Over the past years, I worked as a freelance graphic designer and NFT artist.
