Sculptor
Yunna Diao is a trained sculptor experienced in working with various materials and techniques. Her starting points often include childhood experiences, daily life, and relationships with people. Although she lives and studies in Germany, she was born into a traditional Chinese family and lived in China for more than 20 years. This background gives her works a strong native linguistic logic and cultural foundation. Life in a foreign country exposed her to many conflicting ideas, yet her works retain an oriental poetic quality despite the influence of Western education.
